The town has two parts: old and new and they are connected by narrow roads. The old town is situated on a small peninsula and it is gorgeous. Back in 1983 Old Nessebar became a part of the List of World Cultural Heritage Sites of UNESCO. You can find out more information about the old town in the Archeological museum.
There are several preserved churches in the old town which are interesting to visit. Most of the houses there are built during the Bulgarian Revival Period (18-19th century). The wind-mill situated in the beginning of the old town is a symbol of Nessebar.
